The rule nobody mentions
Private cars reach the Palais until 5pm. Then they do not.
The Festival's own visitor guide sets the access rule, and it is the single most useful thing to know before booking a car in Cannes in May. It is published in French, which is why almost no English-language page carries it.
Before 5pm, and after
Until 5pm, private-hire vehicles are admitted to the edges of the Festival zone. The two closest points are the Gare Maritime, which has a drop-off bay, and the underground car park beneath the Palais des Festivals. After 5pm, the nearest stopping points move back to Boulevard Victor Tuby, Boulevard du Ferrage and Boulevard de Lorraine.
Five in the afternoon is, of course, roughly when the evening screenings and the red-carpet climbs begin. The hour at which a car is most wanted at the Palais is the hour it can no longer get there.

What that means in practice
It means the evening plan is a walking plan as much as a driving one, and that the difference between a good drop-off and a poor one is several hundred metres in evening dress. We agree the point and the hour before the day, and the chauffeur waits where the car is allowed to be rather than circling where it is not.
We do not claim any accreditation that reopens the Palais forecourt. If a service tells you it can set you down at the steps at eight in the evening, ask which authorisation it holds.

The Festival runs twelve days. The Marché du Film, which brings a different and largely professional crowd, overlaps the first nine.
Two audiences, two patterns
The first week concentrates the market: early starts, several moves a day, luggage and screening rooms. The second leans towards the evenings and the closing ceremony. Booking a car for a Cannes stay is really booking for one of those two rhythms, and they are not the same brief.

The whole fleet, on site before you need it
During the Festival, positioning is a question we handle rather than a limitation you carry: the car is on site before you need it, not on its way.
What suits the Croisette
The whole chauffeur-driven fleet is available — saloons, SUVs, a VIP van and exception cars — by the hour, by the day or for several days.
A VIP van when a team moves together with equipment, an executive saloon such as the S-Class or the Maybach S 580 for the days of screenings, and the exception cars when arriving is part of the point. In May, the choice is dictated as much by where the car can wait as by what it looks like.
Held for a block of hours
During the Festival the car is normally held for a block of hours rather than called per journey: streets close progressively through the day and a car sent away is not quickly recalled.

Our rates
The whole fleet is available with a chauffeur; the price depends on the location, the period and the duration. The rates below are published, everything else is quoted. In every case you receive a firm price before you book, chauffeur included, and all amounts include VAT.
Mercedes S-Class and V-Class van — Cannes
- EUR 155 per hour, VAT included — 3-hour minimum (EUR 465)

- Long-duration rates: 10 hours EUR 3,500, 12 hours EUR 4,150, 24 hours EUR 8,300 — beyond that, on quotation
Mercedes-Maybach S 580 — Paris
- EUR 210 per hour, VAT included — 3-hour minimum (EUR 630), 15 km per hour included
- EUR 1,680 for an 8-hour day, VAT included
- Long-duration rates: 10 hours EUR 2,100, 12 hours EUR 2,480, 24 hours EUR 4,960 — beyond that, on quotation
E-Class / EQE, V-Class van and S-Class — Paris
- By the hour, 3-hour minimum, 15 km per hour included: E-Class / EQE EUR 90 per hour, V-Class Extra-Long van EUR 110, S-Class EUR 130, VAT included
- 8-hour day: EUR 720, EUR 880 and EUR 1,040, VAT included
- Paris City Tour with a professional guide, 4-hour minimum: EUR 150, EUR 170 and EUR 190 per hour (EUR 270 in a Maybach), on request
The rest of the fleet and other cities: on quotation
The price depends on the duration, the dates and the route: you receive a firm figure, never a range. A 30% deposit confirms the booking, the balance settled separately.
What we do not sell
No badges, no invitations, no red carpet
Said plainly, before you ask
We arrange transport, and around it what a stay needs — a photographer, a table, a boat. We do not obtain Festival badges, screening invitations, party access or places on the red carpet. Accreditation runs through the Festival and through the professional bodies, not through a car service.
If your badge is already issued, tell us: collection is at the Gare Maritime, and that is often the first stop of the trip rather than the hotel.
